📖 Free Online Course: Reformed Faith and Life
Are you hungry for the Word? Join Rev. James Laning, minister in the Protestant Reformed Churches in America, for a free online Zoom course on the teachings of Scripture through the historic Reformed confessions—the Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, and Canons of Dordt.
This course is for anyone who wants to better understand what the Bible teaches. Each lesson focuses on Scripture, showing why Reformed doctrine is a faithful summary of God’s Word and how these truths provide comfort and practical guidance for daily living.

Each session includes about 30 minutes of biblical instruction, followed by questions, discussion, and Christian fellowship.
Topics Include:
- What does it mean to be a Reformed Christian?
- What do Reformed Christians believe?
- The Doctrines of Grace (TULIP), sometimes called Calvinism
- How does this differ from Arminianism?
- God's sovereignty in salvation
- Understanding the Reformed Confessions
- Why does doctrine matter?
- How is it related to my practical life?
- How are these doctrines comforting?
There will be time for questions and open discussion. Whether you’ve studied Reformed theology for years or are simply curious about what the Bible teaches, everyone is welcome.
As part of this study, the Protestant Reformed Churches in America are prayerfully exploring the possibility of planting a faithful Reformed church in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
